Losango, SC Johnson e Pernod Ricard Brasil were 1st place in the Great Place to Work ranking
RIO — The Great Place to Work (GPTW) consultancy company announced, last Tuesday evening, at Vivo Rio, the 50 “Best Companies to Work in Rio de Janeiro” ranking. In this 11th edition, 15 large, 25 medium and 10 small-size companies received awards.
In all, 99 companies from all over the state took part, representing 70,171 employees. The survey takes into consideration several workers’ perceptions, so as to reach a final position , among which remuneration, form of treatment within each company, company leadership, opportunities to grow, and life quality .
We have perceived a very interesting situation in this survey . The rate of trust regarding practices has improved in some items, namely developing, listening and celebrating.This means that companies are listening and investing more on employees, and they feel more valued, in turn –points out Danyela Souza Ramos, a GPTW Rio consultant.
Losango was 6th-time champion among the “Best Companies to Work in Rio de Janeiro” , in the Large-size company category, followed by Ancar Ivanhoe and Prezunic. Among the Medium-size companies, SC Johnson went up a step, reaching the top, and Visagio went from 4th to 2nd place vis-à-vis last year. Third place among Medium-size companies was awarded to Consorcio Nacional Embracon.
Conversely, the three first places among Small-size companies were Pernod Ricard Brasil, in its first participation in the survey, Passei Direto, and Zoom which has also reached its first-time podium. Bruna Basilio – Divulgação
Another curiosity is that, this year, eight first-time participants in the list have received awards. They are , Colegio de A a Z, Souza Cruz, Supergasbras Energia, Instituto Superior de Ensino Celso Lisboa, EDS, IBM Brasil, IMM Esportes e Entretenimento, Mobi2Buy and Pernod Ricard Brasil.
The president of the World HR Federation, Leyla Nascimento, attending the Vivo Rio event, has pointed out that the Rio de Janeiro companies are not second to those in any other state.
–This is a unique moment for recognition. It is very good to know that companies in Rio have a great number of success cases and that they do not remain behind those of the other states. Rio does not lower its head, even in adverse moments. We trust the potential of those from here and those who are working here, states Leyla.

DIGITAL REVOLUTION
The award celebration theme this year was the Digital Revolution. According to Fabricio Granito CEO of the HEL Group, and organizer of the event, a bet on themes bears higher weight, in addition to its innovative character. The event featured a panel with great inventions, such as the 14Bis, as well as actors paying tribute to Santos Dumont, Albert Einstein, and Steve Jobs, in addition to artistic and musical performances, among which the samba.
Moreover, during the event, a special award created by GPTW was handed to the most cheerful and creative supporters’ group regarding the theme. The best-ranked this year were SC Johnson’s collaborators, who received stays in a resort, with a companion , in the all-inclusive system. The company was also winner in the Medium-size company category. The Vila Isabel samba school grade 10 drum section opened the celebration night , which was closed with great overall excitement to the sound of the Banda Radio Hits.

According to Fabricio Granito, CEO of the HEL Group , the idea of awarding a prize for the supporters’ group arose as an increment to the celebration.
